I pulled this photo from some video taken with our Sony HDR SR12 through a Swarovski 20-60x60. It wasn't one of the clearest shots in the video, but it was a screen capture that made the buck look absolutely silly! If I hadn't personally taken the video I'd have thought it was Photoshopped.
I still love this photo! It's one of those classic pictures that will always stick in my mind. For those of you who don't know, the buck on the left is DW and was taken in 2003 by Pat Brewer. The buck scores 94 B&C and ranks number 4. The buck on the right is JoeBoo and was taken in 2002 by Dr. David Meyer. JoeBoo is the current B&C World Record.
Had DW not had a broken left horn tip and broken left prong he would have shattered the world record! For reference check this out - DW's right horn scored 49 6/8 on it's official SCI score sheet! |
