My Dad received a cool award from Safari Club International for hunting with his handgun and killing a new world record pronghorn with it. We hunted together, along with friend John Vanko, in 2010 in one of Wyoming's lesser known areas. We had a great hunt despite lightning and thunder storms nearly toppling our small pop-up travel trailer each night. Funny thing is, neither John nor I were in a hurry to pull the trigger and, of course, we figured the first person to shoot a buck would set the bar for the others and give us an idea what to expect for the other bucks. Because of this my Dad decided to kill this buck and stalked him to within 125 yards. John and I ended up both shooting great bucks as well, but neither was killed with a handgun.
